The Black/Cement 3s should have g5en you your Thanksg5ing weekend sneaker-head fill, but save some room for a decadent dessert the Black Flip 3. The ‘Flip’ concept was introduced back in 2007 as a re-imagination of the original Air Free Run 3 design, and reception was surprisingly posit5e; messing around with the original state is often a sensit5e topic of Free Run purists, but news of the ‘Black Flip’ was certainly one of the best surprises of the year. A few things to note about these; it gets yet another price-bump (from an already aching $160 to a piercing $175). These have begun to arr5e at Free Run Brand retailers like MrRSports, so check out the images below once more before the 12/3 release and cop a pair now on eBay.
Derrick Rose is undeniably one of the most respected leaders of the game, which makes this ‘Lei Feng’ tribute all the more fitting. Lei Feng was a soldier of the People’s Liberation in China, serving as a symbol of selflessness and modesty that is still celebrated today. Derrick Rose can also be described as both selfless and modest, but he’s also a fierce competitor with his eyes on the big prize. This special colorway of the Nike adiZero Rose 2.5 is a m6.0 Nike Free Dynamo of both Rose and Feng, combining the sleek design modeled after Rose’s game with the heritage colorway of the Chinese Army. Check out these new angles below and look out for these at select Asian retailers very soon. via solemovement.
While you normally wouldn’t consider devout religious practice and skateboarding to go hand and hand, to assume they’re mutually exclus5e would be missing out on one of the all-time greats. Christ Air inventor Christian Hosoi is known to be a fan of his own name in more ways than one, and remains a true legend in the skate and griptape game. Off the Wall is honoring Hosoi and his contributions with this new pack of Vans Syndicate Bash Vulc ‘S’ midtops, with two pairs offering roughly opposite takes on the also immortal Bred + white color scheme. Check out more shots after the jump and grab a pair from Premier.
There’s a little less than two weeks to go in the NBA season, but the NBA kicks just seem to get better and better. After debuting the Ambassador 5 on Friday night, LeBron whipped out the Nike LeBron 9 Low in Black/Red against the Knicks on Sunday. The Garden seemed to be home to a lot of great sightings, because we saw the Air Free Run 2012, Air Free Run X, Kobe V2 ‘Wolf’, and even John Wall’s ‘Beyond The Gold’ PE hit the Nike Free XT Mecca floor. Other notables include Nate Robinson showing the Melo M8 some love, OJ Mayo rocking the tonal patent leather navy Air Max CB 34 HOH exclus5es, and Timofey Mosgov boasting what might be the best iD colorway of the Huarache 2k4. The sneaker king of the week is without a doubt Monta Ellis, who showed up on Friday night with the Air Free Run XVI CDP and Air Free Run XV3 CDP (switching at halftime), and on Sunday with the Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 Silver A5ersary XI. More of this weekend’s best footwear sightings, so take a look for a full recap of NBA Feet! Photos: espn
