Much has changed since we first laid eyes on the Nike Dunk High LR nearly a year ago

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, it looks as if the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Caon’ colorway will not be making its way over onto LeBron James’ tenth signature shoe. Then again, you can always take a stab at that yourself via NIKE iD. Topping that process though is this full on custom job by Twizz, utilizing the all important “caon” color together with the “volt” shade that is usually a bit more salient on Nike’s ruer offerings. Those first pairs came with ’6.0′ branding on their tongue tags in reference to Nike’s rapidly restructuring action sports division, and without any precedent or related models at the time, the ‘LR’ in their name only seemed to denote the vulcanized sole swapout. But just as we’ve come to lea that there’s no more ‘Nike Six’ to these, the past few months have shown us a variety of Nike skate sneakers with LunarLon cushions within their vulc soles just like the ones on this UNLV-leaning BTTYS-blocked design. Foot Locker is at it again with the hilarious Foot Locker #Approved campaign, moving on from Cavalier’s star point guard Kyrie Irving to Inteational phenom Ricky Rubio. In this hilarious scenario, Foot Locker dreams up Rubio as an intense backyard wrestler after he breaks ankles and makes whizzing passes on the court with his adidas kicks. Of course, he doesn’t wrestle Brian Scalabrine look-alikes when he’s done ballin’- he’s still a global sports icon that wears his new adidas when he steps out on the Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 town! The Nike LeBron X is the latest sneaker to get a snakeskin upgrade from the world of custom creators. This pair is the first of a series of Nike Air Yeezy inspired LeBron X pairs known as the ‘Homme Project’ cooked up by Mas and GourmetKickz. And as you can see thanks to the python and the black/red combo, its the Nike Air Yeezy 2 ‘Black/Solar Red’ being tribute to on this pair (which began its life as a Nike LeBron X iD).
