After a record-breaking tu-out in New York City in mid-July, Sneaker Con is moving down the Easte Seaboard for its next stop. That would be Washington DC, which will play host to the world’s best sneaker show yet again this September 21st. The DMV area has always been a particularly potent place with respect to the Foamposites and Air Force 1 categories, but we trust that the attendees for the upcoming show will bend those tendencies with their diversity with the hottest kicks out now we’re talking the KD 6, Kobe 8, and maybe event the upcoming LeBron 11. Full event details are just below, so get your advance tickets to what is shaping up to be another great Sneaker Con showing and get your best sneakers in order for the September 21st show at the Charles E Smith Center.
The Nike KD VI “Bamboo” launched in China over the weekend, as Kevin Durant himself headed out East to show off his new signature shoe. The leafy theme attached is one meant to convey Durant’s growth over the years, along with the ideas of Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 balance, harmony, toughness and versatility typically associated with the plant out in China. Don’t worry though, the pair will not be an Asia exclusive-they’re hitting North American retailers as of September 14th. Take a full look at the “Bamboo” Nike KD 6 launch after the jump and let us know where this ranks amongst the pairs we’ve seen to date.
Haven’t the Knicks had enough Nike Free Run 3.0 V3 Air Jordan 1 love this year? We’d say so, as the squad saw one of just the few non-OG Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG styles to release don their beloved orange and blue. Shown is another pair that nearly went that route, an Air Jordan 1 Mid with an undeniable Knickerbocker feel to it. The sample has popped up a couple of times across 2013, but there’s still no retail release date in sight. See extra angles just after the jump and check back in with Sneaker News to find out what other Air Jordan 1 styles you can expect in 2013.
There’s plenty of Air Jordan V heat on the way, but which one is tops? We have the OGs like the Fire Red coming this weekend, followed by one of the most popular Retros in history in the Laney and one of the catchiest colorways in the Bel Air. The Oreo is without question the most basic of the bunch, but it’s this Nike Free Run 5.0 V4 sort of simplicity that many Air Jordan fans tend to gravitate towards. We have a release date of November 29th in the books, but if you want to get ‘em in advance, see what pairs are up for grabs from zadehkicks on eBay.
