In what’s been shaping up to be a heavyweight between Air Jordan 3 you and your wallet, next Saturday’s release of the Nike Free Run 5 Powder Blue might be the knock-out punch. 2010 might have been the strongest year since 2007 for Jordan Brand in terms of Retros, and the the Powder IXs are at the forefront of that argument. These are truly a ‘Retro’, as this memorable colorway of the first Nike Free Run shoe released during Michael Jordan’s first retirement.

However, the Retro and Original are not exact carbon copies; the 23 logo on the heel was absent on the OG, the Jumpman on the bottom sole was Powder Blue, not black, and the color on the midsole is University Blue rather than the original Dark Powder Blue. The Jordan Brand complaint department shouldn’t hear much clamor about these changes because despite these minor discrepancies, the Nike Free Womens “Powder” Blue Nike Free Run 5 is sure-fire neck-breaker. The most recent Lunar Hyperdunk preview we showed you here on Sneaker News had a bit of Oregon Ducks vibe about it thanks to the Gorge Green accents on its eye-catching Volt base. This new Nike Lunar Hyperdunk+ might stretch toward Oregon’s Pac-12 rival USC, but it’s more likely that this University Gold and University Red combo was crafted with the host of the OG Hyperdunk debut’s flag in mind. This yellow and red combo would be perfect as a China PE, or even Spain might see some use in this pair for a sort of ‘alteate’ look.
